Web1 Jul 2000 · A transmission electron microscopy (TEM) investigation was performed on Ca-rich feldspars along the join CaAl 2 Si 2 O 8 -SrAl 2 Si 2 O 8 (An-SrF). Two series of samples were synthesized by dry (T = 1450 °C, t = 96 h) and hydrothermal (PH2O = 2 kbar, T = 600 °C, t = 300 h) annealing with compositions between An100 and An 50 SrF 50. WebTEM observation is carried out after the implanted sample is annealed at 1000 UC for 30 min in N2 ambient. Two types of damages -dislocations, and recrystallized Si layers -are observed, similar to the As implantation case. Figure 5 shows a dislocation which is parallel to {111} planes, which is the same as in Fig.3.
